Schlemmer at the Battery Show

Munich, 02 Apr 2019

Global plastics specialist Schlemmer will be demonstrating its trend-setting expertise in battery technology at the Battery Show in Stuttgart from 7 to 9 May. Schlemmer has proactively reacted to the agile market changes and already offers the solutions of the future. Trade visitors can experience the diverse product portfolio of the Schlemmer Group live at stand 134 at the Battery Show. With over 400 exhibitors from more than 70 countries, the Battery Show has positioned itself as Europe's largest trade show for advanced battery technology.

The Schlemmer Group is renowned for being a globally operating, cross-industry development partner for plastics, and boasts decades of experience as well as a global network of production sites in the fields of injection moulding and extrusion. The company invested this valuable know-how at an early stage in the new megatrends of the automotive industry: "e-mobility", "connectivity", "safety" and "sustainability". Among other things, the portfolio includes products that satisfy the requirements of the complex overall system of a battery – from battery cooling to the battery holder. In terms of resource conservation, the Schlemmer Group is increasingly using regranulates in its production. These are high-quality thermoplastics that are sustainably processed and returned to the economic cycle. The result is an improved life cycle assessment with qualitatively equivalent end products. With sustainable technologies such as the MuCell® lightweight construction method, Schlemmer also reduces material usage and the weight of components by up to ten percent. The established injection moulding process is used to produce custom-fit plastic components based on microcellular foam structures. The high dimensional stability of the components results in increased durability of the products.
