The Schlemmer Talent Education Programme

Will you soon be completing your studies? Would you like to fulfil your dream in an innovative, up-and-coming technology company? Would you like to fly high and aim for an executive position? Then use our "STEP" step-by-step trainee program to scale the career ladder at Schlemmer!

This 24-month program of practical experience and development offers you a comprehensive overview of our company's work, services, and products. Not only will you get insights into our process landscape and internal structures, you will also learn everything about the operations of our business units. In addition, you will obtain a comprehensive overview of procedures in the various departments, and carry out complex cross-functional and cross-divisional tasks. The program will be adapted to your own level of previous professional knowledge. Along with an experienced mentor to provide help and advice, the trainees are also guided and supported by our human resources representative for recruiting and personal development. In addition to this on-the-job training, the program also features opportunities for off-the-job qualifications (such as introductory events, project management training, personality development training, various workshops, and much more). These are all intended to help you grow into your future executive position and put what you have learned to practice on your projects.

After the intensive orientation phase in the various departments, during which you will acquire professional knowledge of both commercial and technical aspects, you will handle projects on your own. Throughout this work, you will be accompanied and supported by project mentors. This will enable you to build up a network inside and outside the Schlemmer Group.

In addition, you will be expected to work at a number of our subsidiaries or affiliates in other countries to gather international experience and support the employees there with your competence. The goal of this program is to help you gain an understanding of the processes and relationships in our enterprise right at the beginning of your career. International experience and collaboration with colleagues from various countries will broaden your outlook and at the same time sharpen your eye for cultural peculiarities. As a global enterprise, we consider this important as our policy is: "Think global, act local."

*The next STEP program starts in 2019.
